With the crews from Imagine and Ariel near Opua - all the way together from the Carribean.

Derek Kelsall very kindly came up to look the boat over and give his views on the various problems we have been having.

Up on the hard in Nelson on the south island. The pic. on the left is as we arrived. The pic. above shows our raised beam and new bowsprit (the old one broke in the atlantic). Note the ropes holding the mast up while we worked on the beam.

On the right is our old ‘fat’ keel and the new slimline version (much to the original design). Was quite a job doing the construction work outside in all weathers and with what tools I could cobble together.
